Dear Mike.
I would like to order another 5-nucleus delivery in May 2007 weather permitting cheque enclosed. Wife says there worth ever penny,
Sadly our apiary has been washed away in a flash flood the first time in 25 years, every thing dead, We have had to clean and dry out the entire apiary.
The last lot of nucs we had from you were splendid, easy to handle, you even have the wife?s approval. August gave us a good crop of honey the Ivey was especially good again this year giving us a bumper crop.
I must say as a beekeeper of 25 years I thought I knew how to keep bees you proved me wrong. Thanks to your help and advice.
I am taking this opportunity to wish you all a happy and prosperous new year.
Robin and family. |

Your site\'\'s very professional! Keep up the good work, Thanks for the 25 hives and your help to get me started with? Bees for business?! Increased to 40 now!
I am looking forward packing my job in to do the bee?s full time. Without your help and experience I know I would not have been as successful. Your feeding system works a treat one extra comment - maybe you would like to add our pictures too!
So, good luck to you Mike! LOOKING FORWORD TO 2007. |

Hi, Mike.
Just a few words to say how pleased I am with the bees I collected from you earlier this year, Its great to spend time in the garden again without the fear of being attacked by angry bees, even the lady of the house spends time near the hives.
The two nuc's we collected in May 06, are a joy to work with, and your always prepared to give help and advice when I phone.
Thanks again Mike,I look forward to dealing with you again soon.
Regards, Roy. |

Mike, I do not know how much feedback you ever get from your customers but I am going to tell you how I got on with my new queens.
I received two queens from you on the 18th June 2005 which were to introduce to a particularly aggressive stock I keep on a friend?s allotment.
At 5pm on the way home from work I divided the stock into two and removed the queen. I then went back at 8pm and introduced the two queens in their cages.
I left them for ten days and then examined both stocks. The smaller had not released the queen so I opened the cage and dropped her between the frames. She promptly reappeared and flew off. The other stock had the queen walking around the frames quite happily so I felt I had a partial success.
I resolved to leave them for at least twenty one days and in fact went on holiday until the 2nd August.
Last night, the 8th August, I went to check both stocks.
The smaller stock was still busy and in fact the bees had changed colour. They are paler now with more prominent stripes.
My examination found my blue marked runaway queen had in fact returned and there was larvae and capped brood.
The other larger portion was now even larger and not wanting to disturb them too much only looked through them until I found the other marked blue queen.
There was larvae and capped brood along the way and again the bees have changed colour.
They certainly seemed less aggressive and only one followed me more then ten metres when I left the hives, I was used to them escorting me all the way back to my car.
I am well pleased with the way things are working so far and look forward to a calmer beekeeping experience in future.
Many thanks.
Robert Davis. |
