Swarms purchased early in April at £160 each can equal or beat over-wintered stocks into full colony’s.
We shake 3.1/2 pound of bees from overwintered UK stocks into a specially made swarm box that holds the newly mated Queen, the bees and food.
We place 5 of these blue boxes into safe holding crates for any journey that has to be made.
You will already have placed your empty hive ready to receive the bees and added 3/4 frames of drown comb and a frame feeder full of syrup.
On receipt of your 3.1/2 pound Swarm Package take to a cool dark place and give a dose of syrup by spraying on the gauze the same evening the bees should be hived in the position they are to occupy, Well feed bees are better to manipulate and will settle down quickly making clusters and will form new wax foundation easily.
The Swarm Package should only be opened at the hive its intended for,
On receiving your package of bee’s un-screw the two top bars of the traveling case and pull out the blue swarm box’s,
1. Now just imagine you have a natural swarm remove the queen and take note the candy’s intact and is soft for the bees to eat her out, remove the candy door place her still in her cage into her new home (preferably) between two new drawn combs shake the 3.1/2 mass of bees into the hive there new home.
as to our video The bees will release the queen she will start laying within three days. Compress the frames with the bees brood nest, into a tight nest up against the wall of the brood box AND OVER THE ENTRANCE.

Give 10 TO 20 DAYS for the bees to settle down.
