All about Package Bees

We have built up our reputation supplying hundreds of nucs and packages to other beekeepers over the last 40 years. Package bees are older bees and will have travelled a long distance by the time you receive them. They must work hard to maintain the new hive to produce the drown out wax for the queen to lay her eggs. With no young bees to feed or any being hatched out for at least 28 days the new hive will quickly deteriorate. Therefore, it is important to help the queen produce new brood into drown out broad comb.

When you collect your bees, we will advise you on the best way to hive. We can use our experience to help ensure your hives are a success. It is important that you reserve your bees early to avoid disappointment.
